Knights continue roll
In Knoch’s third consecutive softball win — a 7-5 WPIAL Section 1-4A road triumph over McKeesport on Friday — Lizzi Danik, Grace Hensch, Brynne Smith, Carissa Tekely, and Lindsey Wise all had two hits.
Danik and Tekely both had a pair of RBIs for the Knights (8-3, 5-1), while Marlee Fraser went the distance and had 10 strikeouts.
Freeport 2, Deer Lakes 0 — Sydney Selker was dominating in the circle for the Yellowjackets (5-4, 2-2), striking out 14 in a home win. Abby DeJidas and Leah Clark both homered in the victory.
Seneca Valley 10, North Allegheny 0 — Kylie Staudt and Kara Pasquale both had multi-hit performances, with the former recording five RBIs and the latter another two, as the Raiders (11-0, 8-0) rolled the rival Tigers.
Boys Tennis
Justin Garvey, Alex Lopez Foubert, and Lenny Splane all had singles wins as North Catholic swept Knoch, 5-0. Alex Weber and George Gabriel combined for a doubles win.
