James Edward Morford, 77, of Zelienople, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, while under the care of St. Clair Hospital.

Born March 15, 1947, in Newton, Kan., he was the son of the late George E. and Elizabeth (Lair) Morford.

James was devoutly religious. He was also a quiet man who never got angry and was always ready to help others. James loved animals and considered himself a movie buff. His favorite genre of film was science fiction.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart, whom he was married to for 54 years, Sharon (Freeland) Morford; his children, Phillip Morford and Lori Morford; his grandchildren, Emily and Matthew Wrobel; his brothers, Mike, Rob and Pat Morford; and his sister, Jeanne Morford.

MORFORD — Friends and family of James Edward Morford, who died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, will be received for a celebration of life service at 3 p.m. Saturday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

Memorial donations may be made in James’ honor to Wounded Warrior Project, woundedwarriorproject.org/donate; or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, t2t.org/donate.
