Meridian Road to close for renovation April 22
A section of Meridian Road in Penn Township, stretching from the Railroad Street intersection to the Smith Road intersection, will close on Monday, April 22 to allow for a reconstruction project.
This renovation aims to repair damage caused by a November 2022 landslide that closed the road for five months.
Allison Park Contracting of Gibsonia was awarded the contract to perform this work, and the project is estimated to cost $685,000. According to a release from the state Department of Transportation, the project is expected to finish by mid-May.
Throughout the closure, drivers will be provided with detour routes.
