South Butler Community Library will offer its semiannual Used Book Sale and Spring Market from April 19 to 21 at the library at 240 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Thousands of used books of all genres and for all ages, DVDs, CDs, puzzles and games will be available at low prices. Those who attend can fill a grocery bag with books for $5 each day.

The Spring Market will be held on Saturday, when the library will sell locally made ethnic foods. Pierogies, halushki, Spanish rice, cookies and other foods will be available for purchase.

Proceeds from the food sale will go toward the Randy Freehling Car Show benefit being held by To the Limit Motorsports on April 27.

Saxonburg Coffee & Tea will sell cut flowers as well as goodies prepared by nuns at the Nativity of the Theotokos Orthodox Monastery in Jefferson Township.

An Earth Day Fun Facts Scavenger Hunt for children will begin at the library, where children can make an Earth Day craft and receive their scavenger hunt challenge. Those who return to the library having completed their challenge will receive a prize.

The library patio on Saturday will transform into a fun outdoor play space for children as well.

The children's’ activities are taking place through a collaboration between the library and several Main Street businesses in Saxonburg.
