Esther Stepanovich
Esther Irene Stepanovich, daughter of the late Alvin Hartzell and Della Bachman Hartzell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in Canandaigua, N.Y., at the age of 103.
She was a longtime resident of Jefferson and Penn townships in Butler County and, more recently, of Canandaigua, N.Y. Esther was dedicated to her family. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed reading and playing cards. She was a 91-year member of Summit Presbyterian Church, and past member of the Jefferson Grange.
Esther was predeceased by her husband, George; son, Samuel; sister, Viola Simpson; and brother, Carl Hartzell.
She is survived by her sons, Walter (Nancy) of Butler, Robert of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Paul (Pamela) of Leland, N.C.; and daughter-in-law, Marjorie of Canandaigua, N.Y. She leaves eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
STEPANOVICH — A viewing for Esther Irene Stepanovich, who died Tuesday, April 9, 2024, will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, Butler.
