Choir raises money for charities through music

A Circle of Friends Choirs has announced its spring concert series in support of charities.

The group is a community nonprofit vocal and handbell choir that formed in the Evans City area under the direction of David English. The choirs have raised thousands of dollars for charity.

For more information on the choirs, visit acofchoirs.com or the group’s Facebook page. All concerts will include a freewill offering for various nonprofit organizations and charities.

Concerts take place at 7:30 p.m. The first will be May 3 at the Hope Lutheran Church, 8070 Rowan Road in Cranberry Township, which will benefit the Southwest Butler Food Cupboard.

Three concerts will be at the Glen Eden Event Center, 231 Dufford Road in Evans City: the May 4 concert will benefit Friends Helping Friends; the May 10 concert, Legacy Fitness; and the May 11 concert, Without Reservations Bike Mission.
