Vittone, Leslie shine in GCC DH split

MEADVILLE — Seven Fields resident and Eden Christian graduate Luke Vittone doubled home two runs for Grove City College in a 8-0 baseball win over Allegheny in the second game of a doubleheader.

Butler graduate David Leslie struck out four in 1.2 innings of scoreless relief in a 9-4 loss to Allegheny in the first game.

SRU’s Gillott named Pitcher of Week

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University sophomore Gage Gillott has been named PSAC West Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Gillott tossed his second consecutive two-hit shutout in a 5-0 win over Indiana (Pa.). He is 5-1 with an 0.82 earned run average this year and has thrown 14.1 straight scoreless innings.
