Anthony Maroni Jr.
Anthony M. Maroni Jr., “Tony,” 88, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, in Butler.
He was born on Nov. 19, 1935, in Butler, and was the son of the late Anthony Maroni Sr. and Della (Litz) Maroni.
At 18, Tony joined the Air Force to serve our country. He retired from Pullman Standard and was a delivery driver at Hoffman Auto Parts in his later years.
Tony was known as “Pap” by grandchildren and great grandchildren, and he loved spending time with his family. He spent many of his younger years in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Anthony was an avid sports fan, always cheering on the Pittsburgh teams. Tony loved old movies, especially westerns. He always had a welcoming smile and an outgoing personality.
Tony is survived by one daughter, Roseann (Randy) Graham; one son, Michael (Lori) Maroni; three grandchildren, Shawn Graham, Nathan Graham and Zachary Maroni; and two great-grandchildren, Stella Graham and Scarlett Graham.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine (Gould) Maroni; two brothers, Mike and Joe; and one sister, Marie.
MARONI — Friends of Anthony M. Maroni Jr., “Tony,” who died Friday, April 5, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A blessing service will follow at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Calvary Cemetery, 1004 N. Main St. Ext., Butler.
