Rally lifts Knoch to baseball win

Kyle Morgan collected three singles and two RBI on Thursday as Knoch defeated Highlands, 8-4, in baseball action at Pullman Park.

The Knights snapped a 4-4 tie by scoring four runs in the ninth inning. Jacob Stallsmith had a double, two singles and scored two runs while Brady Wozniak tallied a double, single, two RBI and two runs scored. Aidan Jones had a double and single.

Cody Stull was the winning pitcher in relief, striking out three in three innings. Starting pitcher Zane Pacek struck out seven in six innings.

S.Barbarino had two singles for Highlands.

Softball

Marlee Fraser struck out 14 and allowed three hits Wednesday as Koch defeated West Mifflin, 2-0.

Brynne Smith and Sylvia Luffy had two hits each for the Knights. Luffy and Alena Tekely had the two RBI.

Boys Volleyball

Mars scored a 3-0 victory over Deer Lakes. Scores were 25-19, 25-15, 25-9. No other details were provided.

North Allegheny 3, Butler 0 — The Tigers earned this section win by scores of 25-19, 25-23 and 25-21.

Butler (3-3, 2-2) received 18 assists from Mason McCall, nine kills from Alec Teff and 13 digs from Coleton Welter.

Seneca Valley 3, North Hills 0 — The Raiders earned this win on the road via sweep. No other details were provided.
