Rep. Mike Kelly to tour Bush Water Creek facility
U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, R-16th will tour the Brush Creek Water Treatment Control Facility with Cranberry Township’s supervisors and administrative staff Thursday morning, April 4.
The facility is the site of a new project designed to improve hydraulic processes. In 2023, it was a $5 million Community Project Funding federal grant received through the state.
Kelly requested funding for the project.
According to the township’s website, the treatment plant, which is located along Brush Creek, provides wastewater treatment services to Cranberry Township, along with portions of Pine, Marshall and New Sewickley townships. The plant removes pollutants from wastewater collected from homes, businesses and industries. After being treated, water is released into Brush Creek.
