Lawrence Schaffer
Lawrence J. “Skip” Schaffer, 83, of Saxonburg, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024.
He was born Feb. 20, 1941, in Baldwin, Pa., a son of the late Gilmore L. Schaffer and Margaret (Goblinger) Schaffer.
Skip was a retired iron worker with Local 3 at Allegheny Ludlum and was a member of the Armstrong Lodge No. 239 F&AM. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Patch Barracks in Stuttgart, Germany.
Surviving are his children, Mark Schaffer of Saxonburg, Jeffrey (Kelly Adams) Schaffer of Sarver and Vincent Todd (Sharon) Schaffer of Milliken, Colo.; and his grandchildren, Kylee Schaffer, Justin Schaffer, Colby Schaffer, Caleb Dunn and Marlana Dunn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karin (Diekmann) Schaffer, she passed away Sept. 8, 2022; one brother, William J. Schaffer; and one sister, JoAnne Edmison.
