Libertarian Party candidates to attend debate viewing

The Libertarian Party of Butler County is hosting the party’s slate of candidates for statewide offices at its watch party for the gun control debate between David Hogg, a Parkland survivor and founder of March for Our Lives, and Spike Cohen, the Libertarian Party’s vice-presidential candidate in 2020.

In attendance will be U.S. Senate candidate John Thomas of Kittanning, attorney general candidate Rob Cowburn of Pittsburgh, treasurer candidate Nick Ciesielski of Hempfield Township and auditor general candidate Reece Smith of Pittsburgh.

The watch party will take place April 10 at Hardwood Cafe on Route 8 in Penn Township. The candidates will speak and conduct interviews at 5 p.m. and the debate begins at 6 p.m. The debate is being streamed from Dartmouth University via YouTube. The event is open to the public and serves as a fundraiser.
