Nancy Herman

Nancy Lee Herman, 87, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She was born July 8, 1936, in Chicora, the daughter of the late Clair Thomas Covert and June (Gold) Covert.

Nancy was a past member of the North Butler Presbyterian Church. She was a former member of the American Legion 488 in East Brady. She worked at GC Murphy Company, A&W Root Beer stands, Stanley Bakery and Ames.

Surviving are her daughter, Pamela (fiancé Steve Clutter) Neff of Marion Center; four grandchildren, Tammy (fiancé Jason Ross) Daugherty and Brad (Corri) Covert, Steven (Jamie) Grossbauer and John Grossbauer; 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Blanche L. Covert of Butler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Herman, who passed away on Jan. 30, 1984; a brother, Raymond L. Covert; and a sister, Hazel Craig.

HERMAN — Services and burial for Nancy Lee Herman, who died Wednesday, March 27, 2024, will be private.
