Mars senior Charlie Bickel pitched a complete game and knocked in four runs at the plate to push the Planets past Knoch, 5-1, on Wednesday. Mars (2-1) will face off with Butler at Pullman Park at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Butler 7, Baldwin 0 — Nolan Stefaniak struck out eight in 5/2 innings as the Golden Tornado improved to 2-0 with this win at Pullman Park. Boden Lenyk doubled, had two RBI and scored two runs.

Liam McElroy doubled and had an RBI for Butler while Stefaniak doubled. Mavrik Clement and Noah Kollinger had an RBI each.

Softball

Senior Kelsey Ogin went the distance in the circle, giving up four hits and just one earned run while punching out 12, and junior Shylee Karenbauer had three hits in Butler’s 6-1 victory over Norwin.

Catcher Lily Vicari, third baseman Gracie Negley, and Ogin had an RBI apiece.
