Shirley M. (Dengler) Edwards, 88, of Middlesex Township, died on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Born on Sept. 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Hilda Erk Dengler. She was the beloved wife for 62 years of the late Robert W. Edwards Jr.

Shirley was an operator with Pittsburgh North Telephone for over 30 years. She enjoyed bowling with her husband for many years at Mars Lanes. She also enjoyed tennis with family and friends, and loved having family picnics at her home.

She was the loving mother of Timothy (Patty) Edwards, Susan (Terry) Ehrenfried, Jim (Roxanne) Edwards, Scott (Jenny) Edwards, and the late Deborah Ann Edwards; sister of the late Otto Dengler, Dorothy Meehan and Florence Vioral; and proud grandmother of Sean (Shannon) Edwards, Jason (Chelsea) Edwards, Lauren Gillen, Brandy (Heath) Gillen, Parker Edwards, Leann Deans and Emily (Ben) Crouch. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, Madison, Grace, Jackson, Sydnee, Lana, Madox, Benson, Sylas, Bryce, Kevin, Lincoln Graham, Robert James and Emerson Jade.

EDWARDS — Family of Shirley M. (Dengler) Edwards, who died Sunday, March 24, 2024, will welcome friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
