Larry Farrington, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2024, at the age of 83, surrounded by his loving family.

Born to Robert and Virginia Wise Farrington, Larry was a cherished member of his community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Throughout his life, Larry served his country with honor in the Army and contributed to his community through his work at Hillcrest Dairy and Beattys Auto. He was known for his dedication, hard work and kindness to all those around him.

In his leisure time, Larry enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time with his beloved “girls” and grandchildren. He had a passion for golfing and cherished the moments spent on the course with friends and family.

Larry will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious laughter and unwavering love for his family. His legacy of love, kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his daughters, Christine Farrington, Janette Hensler (Jeff), and Allison Alverez (Dean Paonessa); and his grandchildren, Tanner McCall, Carter McCall (Meghan), Peyton McCall, Daniel Alverez, Meghan Flinn, Schuyler Hensler and Lucas Hensler. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Farrington (Robin); his nieces and nephews, Virginia Bowser (Gary), Jamie Farrington (Melinda), John Gilger, Elizabeth Gilger and Jane (Chris) Miller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann (Breene) Farrington.

FARRINGTON — A celebration of life for Larry Farrington, who died Monday, March 4, 2024, will be held at a later date this summer and will be announced.

Arrangements are by H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to the Foxburg Country Club or the Foxburg Free Library.
