Arlene Ann Emery, 82, of Volant, passed away at Jameson Care Center, New Castle, on Sunday, March 24, 2024.

She was born in Ellwood City on Jan. 24, 1942, to Howard Clyde Mickley Sr. and Delilah Florence Kingston Mickley.

She married Samuel David Emery, who preceded her in death in 2004. She was a homemaker. Arlene enjoyed sewing, baking, watching her birds and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by son-in-law, Ted Irwin of Volant; son, Terry L. Emery of Mercer; two sisters, Sally (Thomas) Burrows of Portersville and Linda (Ronald) Fleeger of Morgantown, W.Va.; two brothers, Howard Mickley Jr. of Plain Grove and Robert (Marlene) Mickley of Springfield, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Andrew, Dakota, Chad and Kristy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Alicia Irwin; son, Jeff; and grandson, Kansas.

EMERY — The family of Arlene Ann Emery, who died Sunday, March 24, 2024, will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. Saturday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Village of Leesburg, 1778 Perry Highway, Volant.

A celebration of life service will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow Monday at Rich Hill Cemetery, Lawrence County.
