I too support Dr. Adalja's assessment of the financial problems in the industry. In states like California, where illegals are flooding emergency rooms, and people WITH insurance wait in line, the atmosphere must be bad. Profit-driven HMO's don't help either. The past two years my deductibles have doubled. If it weren't for the catastrophic coverage, I wouldn't even bother with it.
