College notes

MEGAN WISE (Moniteau) placed third in the shot put for Grove City at the Bethany Invitational. Her best heave was 36 feet, 11.75 inches.

MADDALYN SEMMLER (Butler) placed ninth in the 1,500-meter run for Thiel at the Bethany Invitational. Her time was 5:37.50.

JENNA ZENDRON (Moniteau) placed third in the 100 meters for Westminster at the Bethany Invitational. Her time was 13.20 seconds. She also placed fourth in the 200 with a personal-best time of 27.15.

ELYSE KIGGINS (Seneca Valley) collected three ground balls and made eight saves in goal in Grove City’s 14-11 loss at Buffalo State. Kiggins now has 303 saves in her three years as a starter for the Wolverines.

ANTHONY KAMENSKI (Karns City) won the 400-meter hurdles for Westminster at the Bethany Invitational. His time was 56.45 seconds. He also had the fourth-fastest time in the 110-meter hurdle preliminaries at 15.65, but did not start the finals race. Kamenski ran a leg of the Titans’ winning 4x400 relay as well.

ABBY ROTTMAN (Moniteau) doubled and scored Thiel’s lone run in a 7-1 softball loss to SUNY Poly.

JOCELYN McNANY (Seneca Valley) hit her third home run of the season for Penn State Behrend in a 10-1 softball loss to Hiram.

BRADY PAGE (Seneca Valley) had a goal and two assists in Westminster’s 17-8 men’s lacrosse loss to Marymount.

NATHAN COVEY (Freeport) scored his first career goal for Westminster in the loss to Marymount.

JORDEN TATE (Seneca Valley) had nine saves in goal for Westminster in the loss to Marymount.

EMILY IVORY (Mars) won at No. 2 singles for Grove City in an 8-1 women’s tennis win over Penn State Behrend. She won the match 6-3, 6-4. She also teamed with Janel McCray to win at No. 1 doubles, 8-4.
