PITTSBURGH — Butler Cubs boxer Leland Anderson, fighting in the super heavyweight division, scored a third-round technical knockout over Connor Whelan of Ireland on Friday night at The Priory.

The bout was part of “The Donnybrook,” a card of Western Pa,. amateur boxers against amateur boxers from Ireland. Anderson, of Butler, is 6-foot-1, 230 pounds, while Whelan is 6-8, 260.

Anderson’s win marked the first international victory in Butler Cubs boxing history.
