Stanley Paytas, 91, of Meridian, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Born on Jan. 25, 1933 in Renfrew, he was the son of the late Frank and Helen (Chijka) Paytas.

Stanley was a loyal member of St. Conrad Catholic Church, the Meridian Vets Club and the American Legion, serving in Post 778.

Stanley leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 68 years, Nancy Paytas; his three children, Linda (Dwight) Protzman, James (Pamela) Paytas and Robert (Sharon Monahan) Paytas; his four granddaughters, Jessica (Gunar) Montgomery, Emily (Erik) Christensen, Amanda Paytas and Ashley Paytas; his two great-grandchildren, Molly Montgomery and Clark Christensen; his brother, Albert (the late Dorothy) Paytas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

PAYTAS — Friends of Stanley Paytas, who died Saturday, March 9, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and the Meridian Vets Club will hold a service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stanley’s honor to the Meridian Vets Club or to a charity of your choosing.
