Janet E. Guterry, 85, of Ford City, Pa., formerly Parker, passed away Friday evening, March 8, 2024, at her residence, of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 8, 1939, in Wellsboro, Pa., to William and Ruth Leonard Merritt.

Janet served the U.S. Air Force as a radar operator, and was a former member of the VFW of Marienville, Pa.

Surviving are her children, Michael (Karen Benson) Guterry of Gardena, Calif., Matthew “Matt” (Brenda) Guterry of West Sunbury and Kim Guterry of Mercer; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Lois Hebert; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan Guterry, in 2017; a sister, Ruth Konar; and a brother, William Merritt.

GUTERRY — Visitation for Janet E. Guterry, who died Friday evening, March 8, 2024, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, 201 S. Wayne Ave., Parker, where a funeral service will be held at 8 p.m.
