Woman extricated from vehicle after driving over embankment
OAKLAND TOWNSHIP — Members of the Oneida Valley Volunteer Fire Company extricated a township resident who drove over an embankment at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, Feb. 27.
The crash occurred outside the driver’s home on the 100 block of Oakland Drive. Fire chief Gary Wulff said the fire company used rope and a Stokes basket to assist in the extrication. The family will retrieve the vehicle, he said.
Wulff said the resident was alone in the car at the time of the crash and did not hit any trees when she drove over the embankment.
After being evaluated by medics, the woman was transported by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital.
East Butler Volunteer Fire Company and Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.
Wulff said the incident is not under investigation.
