Butler Public Library shines light on immigrant experience

The Butler Area Public Library will host the Immigrant Experience at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 at the library, 218 N. McKean St.

Presenter Alejandro Sánchez Lopera of Jewish Family and Community Services of Pittsburgh, will discuss the common struggles and successes of immigrants, refugees and asylum-seekers as they adjust to life in the region.

Lopera will touch on the importance of stories, traditions, language and literature in the process of immigration.

The Immigrant Experience is part of the library’s Un Libro, Un Butler program.

No registration is necessary for the free program.
