Brown wins 2 more in harness racing
WASHINGTON, Pa. — Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown drove two more horses to victory during harness racing action Thursday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Brown guided Gwens Girl to triumph in an $8,500 Conditioned Claiming Pace. His second victory was with Who Made Who in a $6,000 Conditioned Trot.
Ravens WR Flowers under investigation
OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers is under investigation for domestic assault, according to multiple reports.
Baltimore County police are probing a Jan. 21 incident in the northern suburb Owings Mills, Md., the Baltimore Banner reported Thursday. The investigation also involves a police department in the west Boston suburb of Acton, Mass., according to the outlet.
Neither police department publicly released details of the investigation. Flowers has not been charged with any crimes.
Guerrero Jr. wins record in salary arbitration
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Vladimir Guerrero Jr. won a record $19.9 million in salary arbitration on Wednesday when a three-person panel picked his request rather than the Toronto Blue Jays' $18.05 million offer.
Guerrero topped the previous high awarded from a hearing — the $14 million Seattle outfielder Teoscar Hernández received after he lost.
