College notes

BAILEY TRETTEL (Moniteau), a junior swimmer at Saint Francis, swam a season-best 2:11.50 in the 200 backstroke, a season-best 1:01.30 in the 100 butterfly and placed seventh in the 100 backstroke in 1:00.33 at the Western Pa. Invitational at Carnegie Mellon University.

MADILYN BOYER (Knoch) matched her season-high with 16 points and added seven rebounds in Penn State Behrend’s 82-66 women’s basketball win over Mount Aloysius.

JENNA ZENDRON (Moniteau), a freshmen on Westminster’s women’s indoor track and field team, placed 19th in the 60 meters and 24th in the 400 meters at Kent State University’s Doug Raymond Invitational.

ISAAC BUSLER (Butler), a member of Grove City’s men’s indoor track and field team, placed ninth in the 500 meters in 1:12.09 at Mount Union’s unscored Jim Wuske Invitational.

WILL ZIMMERMAN (Seneca Valley) recorded five kills and one dig for the Thiel men’s volleyball team in a 3-0 loss to Nazareth.

GABBY KUTCHMA (Seneca Valley), a member of Clarion’s indoor track and field team, placed ninth in the 3,000 meters at the Bison Open, hosted by Bucknell University.

MASON BUSH (Seneca Valley) scored 12 points, had two assists and two rebounds in Penn State Altoona’s 81-78 men’s basketball win over Wells College.

MICHAEL PHILLIPS (Knoch) had second-place finishes in the 500 freestyle and 200 individual medley, and a third in the 200 butterfly, in Westminster’s 171-112 men’s swimming loss to Saint Vincent.

EMMA PLANK (Slippery Rock/Portersville Christian) swam a leg of the 200 free relay for Grove CIty in the Wolverines’ 174.5-91.5 win over Ohio Northern. The relay’s time was 1:43.49.

ANTHONY KAMENSKI (Karns City) ran an 8.98 in the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles for Westminster at the Doug Raymond Invitational, hosted by Kent State. He also placed 13th in the 400 meters.
