Police reports
The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:
Jan. 16 — Adam J. Simmer, 48, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said he was found with a stamp bag and a crack pipe.
Jan. 17 — David T. Sterck, 46, of Cranberry Township, was charged with felony escape. Police said he cut off his ankle monitor while on house arrest and was located later by police.
Jan. 16 — Devon J. Lee, 24, of New Brighton, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment. Police said he punched someone in the head and bit their arm.
Jan. 16 — Thomas M. McTighe, 58, of Gibsonia, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said he removed metal signposts that did not belong to him from a residence.
Jan. 17 — John P. Dobrowski, 33, of Evans City, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment. Police said he punched someone in the face and ribs.
Jan. 17 — David T. Smiley, 35, of Parker, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police stopped him Dec. 3, 2023, in Venango Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood alcohol content to be 0.141%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Jan. 17 — Max C. Horn, 48, of Saxonburg, was charged with a felony and misdemeanor of a false written statement. Police said he answered a question inaccurately when applying to purchase a firearm at Rural King in Center Township.
Jan. 17 — Levi W. Shuler, 26, of Cabot, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police stopped him Jan. 14 on Cornetti Road, Clearfield Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.179%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Jan. 14 — Robert C. Rumburd, 42, of Raleigh, N.C., was charged with misdemeanors DUI and use and possession of drug paraphernalia after crashing his vehicle on Interstate 79, Lancaster Township. Police said he showed signs of impairment, and a search of his vehicle yielded syringes with suspected heroin residue and two THC vape pens.
Jan. 11 — Laura C. Getsy, 31, of Canfield, Ohio, was charged with misdemeanor use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said she was found with a glass smoking pipe.
Jan. 11 — Courtney L. Isaacson, 30, of West Sunbury, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment. Police said she punched someone in the face and bit their thumb.
