The Slippery Rock Area High School graduation was at 8:45 p.m. June 4 at the Starlight Drive-In Theater.

Graduates were called in groups of 25 to be recognized while everyone else remained in their vehicles. This was a private event meant for Slippery Rock graduates and their families. It was not open to the public. Every graduate was permitted a two-vehicle limit.

Kayla Daugherty was the valedictorian, and Vance Fowler was the salutatorian. Nate Gill was the senior class president.

Kayla is the daughter of Kim and Scott Daugherty. She has played on the girls varsity soccer team for four years, Kayla has been a part of TADA (Teens Against Drug Abuse) and TATU (Teens Against Tobacco Use) for two years. Kayla has played in the high school jazz band for four years. She also has participated in Butler County Youth Leadership in 2019. Kayla has been a member of Slippery Rock's Wellness Club for four years, and National Honor Society for two years.

Kayla plans to attend Washington and Jefferson College, where she will be majoring in accounting.

Vance is the son of Troy and Susie Fowler, of Slippery Rock. Vance has been an active member of the varsity boy's soccer team, jazz band, math club, the musical and stage crew.

Vance plans to attend Furman University, where he will major in Spanish and pre-med. Upon completion of college, Vance plans to attend medical school

Nate is the son of Keri Raisely, of Prospect, and Joe Gill, of Slippery Rock. During his high school career, Nate has participated in National Honor Society, Interact Club, Garden Club, Ski Club and Student Council. Nate has been elected as the student body president for both his junior and senior years. In the fall, Nate plans to attend Butler County Community College to study nursing.

Class officers are Nate Gill, president; Anthony Bedel, vice president; Calla Martin, secretary; and Julia Hart, treasurer.
