Police reports

The following items have been requested from various police departments and district courts:

Cranberry Twp

Dec. 12 — Richard J. DeRosa, 68, of Cranberry Township, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said he left Home Depot with $331 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Dec. 12 — Jane Fontana, 58, of Cranberry Township, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said she left Walmart with $185 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Dec. 7 — Allan Pereira, 44, of Cranberry Township, was charged with felony theft of services. Police said he dumped scraps in a dumpster without permission.

Dec. 6 — Brittany L. Duff, 34, of Avalon, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police stopped her Oct. 21 on Route 228. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later blood test showed her blood alcohol content at 0.120% with traces of Lorazepam and Trazodone. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Dec. 6 — Anthony M. Cassero, 18, of Monaca, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said he left Target with $179 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Slippery Rock Borough

Dec. 6 — Ashton R. Orkwis-Hatajik, 19, of Natrona Heights, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police stopped him Dec. 2 on Midway Alley. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.113%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Dec. 12 — John A. Adamo, 44, of New Castle, was charged with misdemeanors DUI and drug possession after police stopped him Dec. 30, 2022, when he was signaling to vehicles on Interstate 79 with a flashlight. Police said field sobriety test showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed traces of THC in his system.

Dec. 7 — Lorraine M. Kernodle, 60, of Evans City, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after crashing her vehicle Dec. 2 on Spithaler School Road, Forward Township. Police said she showed signs of impairment, and a later breath test showed her blood alcohol content at 0.099%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Dec. 7 — Jean B. Sindambiwe, 58, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor accidents involving property damage. Police said he failed to stop and exchange information after a crash.

Dec. 6 — James F. Ealy, 42, of Bruin, was charged with felony drug sales, misdemeanors DUI and drug possession after police stopped him Sept. 2 on Kittanning Pike, Parker Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed traces of THC in his system. Police said 193 grams of suspected marijuana were found in the vehicle.

Dec. 6 — Erik D. Crooks, 54, of Hilliards, was charged with misdemeanors DUI and drug possession after police stopped him Nov. 9 on New Castle Road, Slippery Rock Township. Police said field sobriety test showed he was impaired.

Dec. 6 — Timothy J. Lang, 41, of Saxonburg, was charged with a felony and misdemeanor of a false written statement. Police said he answered a question inaccurately when applying to purchase a firearm at Logan’s Gun Gallery in Washington Township.

Dec. 6 — James M. Border, 23, of Cranberry Township, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police stopped him Dec. 2 on Ableview Drive, Center Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.141%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Dec. 5 — Cody J. McCormick, 26, of Evans City, was charged with misdemeanors DUI and drug possession after police stopped him on Mars Evans City Road, Forward Township. Police said he showed signs of impairment and a later blood test showed traces of THC in his system.
