Harmony man sentenced to probation for corruption of minors

Corey Alan Wilson, 52, of Harmony, was sentenced Nov. 21 to serve 72 months of probation including 90 days of house arrest after pleading no contest to corruption of minors and simple assault charges filed last year for inappropriately touching two minors in 2019.

One of the victims said Wilson’s job was to protect her and the other children, but he hurt them instead.

“You couldn’t keep your hands to yourself,” Christine Wilson, his wife of 16 years, said.

Zelienople police said the incidents took place between Jan. 1, 2019, and Jan. 6, 2022, in the borough. The two charges and several others were filed in April 2022.

Wilson’s sentence, which was the result of a negotiated plea agreement, included completing the county probation office’s sexual offender program. Butler County Common Pleas Court Judge Timothy McCune ordered the sentence.
