Concordia Adopt-a-Resident Christmas program asking for adopters

Concordia Lutheran Ministries is seeking community members to support their annual Adopt-a-Resident program, which ensures no residents in any Concordia location go without a gift to open at Christmas.

In the program, seniors in skilled nursing and personal care provide wish lists, and employees, community members, churches, businesses and even independent living residents “adopt” a resident or residents by purchasing the items on their wish lists.

Those interested in adopting a resident or providing a general gift can call the following locations to proceed:

  • Concordia at Cabot, Jamie White, 724-352-1571, ext. 8302. Gifts needed by Dec. 3.
  • Concordia at the Orchard, Jodi Macko, 724-285-4490. Gifts needed by Dec. 3.
  • Concordia of Cranberry, Beth Schultz or Amber Kemper, 724-779-4300. Wish lists will be available after Thanksgiving, and gifts must be received by Dec. 12.

General gifts, which can be dropped off at the appropriate location, include sweatshirts, sweatpants, door wreaths, stamps and stationary, digital clocks with large numbers, hair salon gift certificates, and slippers or slipper socks.
