Local religious and community organizations to sing ‘thanks’ Nov. 13

People from local religious and other community organizations will join together for a group singing event Monday, Nov. 13.

The “Singing Thanks, Love & Hope Potluck and Sing-Along” will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at Congregation B’nai Abraham, 519 N. Main St. in Butler. All are welcome to attend this free event, according to a news release from the Butler Clergy Network.

“Singing Thanks, Love & Hope” was developed as a way for people in the region to come together in peace for food, fellowship and singing, and to learn about the progress made in opposing racism and hatred and the work that still needs to be done.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish to share and join others in singing from the Justice Choir Songbook. Historical information will be presented by clergy, and songs for group singing will be led by local musicians, the news release said.
