Slippery Rock program participating in celebration of after-school activities
Kid’s Innovation Playground will participate in the Lights On Afterschool celebration Thursday, Oct. 26 with an open house.
Lights On Afterschool is a national initiative of the Afterschool Alliance and the Pennsylvania Statewide Afterschool and Youth Development Network to create awareness of the need for affordable, quality, engaging programs for all children.
Kid’s Innovation Playground is holding an open house for legislators, government officials, educators, and business professionals, from 4 to 7 p.m. at 221 Center St., Slippery Rock.
According to the Afterschool Alliance, more than 8,000 events are scheduled for October to highlight the importance of after-school programs for students.
