SR volleyball scores sweep
Anora Robare tallied 20 assists in Slippery Rock’s sweep of host Sharpsville on Thursday.
Avalee Demidovich and Lillian Campbell had six kills and five kills, respectively. Lexi Plesakov added 10 digs for the Rockets, who won by scores of 25-23, 25-18 and 26-24.
North Catholic 3, Knoch 0 — Sierra Mock had seven kills and Brynne Smith 22 assists for the Knights (7-2, 4-1)
No statistics were reported for North Catholic, which won the match by scores of 25-20, 25-16 and 25-12.
Keystone 3, A-C Valley 2 — The Falcons rallied, but ran out of gas in losing to the Panthers by scores of 13-25, 18-25, 26-24, 27-25 and 6-15.
Bella Ielase totaled seven kills and 11 digs, Maddy Dehart nine kills and six blocks in defeat.
Ava Snyder contributed 14 digs and Lexi Altman 12 assists and 11 digs for the Falcons (2-5).
Pine-Richland 3, Mars 0 — Lily Javor had 10 kills for the Planets, who dropped the match 25-19, 25-17, 25-17. Rylee Wooldridge had five kills, seven digs and three aces.
Seneca Valley 3, North Hills 1 — No details were provided from this win for the Raiders.
Boys Golf
Mars qualified four golfers for WPIAL Individual Championship play through their performances in the section tourney this week at Cranberry Highlands.
Lukas Singh carded a 73 for the Planets while Greg Kleber and Colin Stevenson both shot 80 and Keegan O’Leary an 81. The target score to advance was 81.
The WPIAL semifinal round will be Monday at Latrobe Country Club.
Knoch 201, Armstrong 237 — The Knights (13-5, 11-3) received a 37 from Mason Phillips and 39 from Aiden Froedtert.

Kiski Area 200, Butler 209 — The Golden Tornado (11-3) closed the regular season against the Cavaliers at Butler Country Club.
Hunter Swidzinski carded a 36 for Butler, Wyatt Kos and Blake Scott a 41.
Kiski was led by Max Mottura (36) and Tyler King (38).
KSAC Mega Match — Clarion’s Kameron Kerle snared medalist honors with a 35 and Clarion won this nine-team event at Hunter’s Station Golf Course. Moniteau’s Dawson Wallce tied for second individually with a 36.
Karns City’s Joey O’Donnell shot a 37 to place fifth. The Gremlins’ Chloe Fitch tied for seventh with a 38 and Moniteau’s Chason Delarosa-Rugg tied for 13th with a 39. Clarion shot a 189 as a team. Moniteau was third with 204, A-C Valley/Union seventh with 262, Karns City ninth at 407.

Pine-Richland 183, Mars 215 — Makenna Myler led the Planets with a 48.

Girls Soccer
Karns City dominated Redbank Valley in claiming an 8-1 decision.
Hanna Dailey tallied three goals, Phoebe Brandon scored twice and added an assist and Sarah Dodd had two goals.
Lexi Neff also scored for the Gremlins. Assists went to Layla Colsey (2), Sophia Bonetto, Bella Shields and Aubrey Price.
Slippery Rock 2, Hickory 0 — Brooke Arblaster and Ella Thimons both had a goal and assist for the Rockets. Libby Campbell got the shutout in goal.
Boys Soccer
Jesse Garing and Zach Lasko scored two goals each to lead Slippery Rock to a 5-1 win over Greenville. Max Kovacik scored the other goal for the Rockets.
Ryan Struther, Collin Wimer and Nick Olshanski all had assists for Slippery Rock (8-1, 3-0) while goalkeeper Josh Book made five saves. The Rockets host North East at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Butler 2, Pine-Richland 1 — Cody Lubinsky and Nick Kilgore scored goals for the Golden Tornado.
Deer Lakes 3, Knoch 0 — No other details were available from this loss for the Knights.

Laini Spohn and Emily Hinch won at No.’s 1 and 2 singles for Butler as the Golden Tornado defeated Plum, 3-2.
