Karen and Donald Hankey

Donald and Karen Hankey, of East Butler, celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family vacation in the Outer Banks, N.C., and a vacation with friends to Myrtle Beach, S.C., in August.

Hankey married the former Karen Blatt on Sept. 14, 1973, at Main Street Alliance Church in Butler.

They have two children, Tracy Carr of Auburn, Pa., and Philip Hankey of Butler.

They also have three grandchildren.

Hankey is retired from G.O. Hawbaker.

Mrs. Hankey retired from Magnetics and PBG Medical Billing.

She is a member of the Tuesday Women’s Golf League at Highland Golf Course.
