Slippery Rock University has been recognized recently been recognized by Money.com on its list of the Best Colleges in America in 2023, while also being praised for its Homeland Security program by CollegeRank.

Money.com evaluated more than 2,400 four-year colleges in the country and selected just over 700 of those for its list based on quality, affordability and student outcomes.

Money experts noted that 75% of SRU students receive grants and the estimated cost of tuition for the average student receiving aid is $13,300 per year.

In addition, SRU's homeland security program was named to CollegeRank's list of the 35 Best Bachelor's in Homeland Security — ranking ninth in the nation.

Rankings were based on potential salary for students after graduation, individual program accreditation and overall affordability.
