The Good Samaritan Hospice Butterfly Release will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at Cranberry Township Community Park’s Lions Shelter, 111 Ernie Mashuda Drive, Cranberry Township.

The event is open to the public and free to attend.

Butterflies to be released in memory of a loved one can be purchased for $15 each, or two for $25.

Walk-ups are welcome, but pre-registration is highly encouraged by June 29 to guarantee the availability of a butterfly.

The event also will include musical performances, refreshments and children’s activities.

Those planning to attend can take a chair or blanket, as seating is limited.
