Ogoreuc advances to national event

GROVE CITY — Jack Ogoreuc, son of retired Slippery Rock University swim coach Bob Ogoreuc, is one of 30 competitors to advance to the American Legion’s 32nd Junior 3-Position Air Rifle National Championship in Colorado Springs.

Ogoreuc was one of more than 800 youths who entered Round One of the competition. The championship tournament will be held July 20-22 at the USA Shooting Range at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.

The top competitor will receive a championship title and a $5,000 scholarship provided by The American Legion and the Sons of The American Legion.
