Cranberry library to host ‘All Together Now’ challenge

Beginning June 12, Cranberry Public Library will hold its annual Summer Reading Challenge.

The challenge will follow the theme of “All Together Now,” in conjunction with the Collaborative Summer Library Program’s national theme. This year’s theme focuses on promoting kindness, friendship and unity.

Some of the programs and activities as the library will include Infant and ABC Playtimes, Family Movie Matinees, Crafty Fridays for children, interactive bilingual Storywalks and Tween/Teen Escape Room.

Registration for individual programs will open on Tuesday, May 30. Registration for the summer reading challenge will open on Monday June 12 at cranberrylibrary.org.

The Summer Reading Challenge will run from June 12 to July 29. The challenge is open to library cardholders and non-cardholders of all ages.

Challenge participants track their reading minutes and activities through Beanstack, the library’s web-based summer reading program software. By logging their reading and activities, participants earn raffle tickets which can be entered for grand prizes, such as gift certificates from local businesses.
