Summer camps bring the fun across the county

Camp Alameda

During sessions, Camp Alameda is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with late pickup offered until 5 p.m.

Camp sessions are one week each, and campers are divided up into age-appropriate activities throughout the day. All campers must be at least 5 years old by June 12 and potty trained. The cost is $130 per child per week.

Camp weeks:

All Star Sports week is from June 12 to 16.

Messy Madness week is from June 19 to 23.

Theatre week is from June 26 to 30.

Alameda Olympians week is from July 10 to 14.

Get Soaked week is from July 17 to 21.

STEM week is from July 24 to 28.

Healthy Habits week is from July 18 to 22.

Summer Olympians week is from July 31 to Aug. 4.

Fiesta week is from Aug. 7 to 11.

Kids on Campus

Camps for children in kindergarten through eighth grade run Monday through Thursday at Butler County Community College on the following weeks: June 12 to 15, June 19 to 22, June 26 to 29, July 10 to 13, July 17 to 20, and July 24 to 27.

Morning care is offered starting at 7:30 to 9 a.m. and afternoon care is offered from 4 to 5 p.m. Morning care is $30 per week and afternoon care is $20 per week. For more information or to register, visit bc3.edu.

Mountain Bike Clinics

The bike clinic will teach skills that will help mountain bikers overcome obstacles in a fun, safe, enthusiastic and challenging environment. The one-day clinic is scheduled for July 15. The clinic takes place from 9 a.m. to noon at Alameda Park. The clinics are for children ages 10 to 17, and cost $25.

Soccer Camp

This 3-day soccer camp, which is designed for beginners and intermediate players, will take place from July 5 to 7 at the Alameda Park. This camp is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon. The camp is for ages 6 to 13 and will cost $55.

DiscoverE: Penn’s Adventurers: Ages 9 to 12 — DiscoverE is a hands-on day camp experience that allows children to explore nature while building confidence, curiosity of the natural world and social skills. For questions or to register, call the center at 724-794-6011.

Hide-N-Seekers: Ages 4 -5; Tuesdays from June 20 to July 18; Sessions offered from 10 to 11:30 a.m. or 1 to 2:30 p.m.; $5 per child per session.

Outdoor Explorers: Ages 6 to 8; Thursdays from June 22 to July 20; Sessions offered from 10 a.m. to noon or 1 to 3 p.m.; $5 per child per session.

Penn’s Adventurers: Fridays from July 12 to 26; Sessions offered from 9 a.m. to noon; $10 per child per session
