Beverly Doerr
Beverly J. (Fritch) Doerr, 87, of Sarver, was born April 29, 1936. Beverly passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, while surrounded by family in her lifelong home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. (Jack) Doerr; her mother, Helen (Hughes) Fritch; her father, Frederick C. Fritch Sr.; her brother, Fred Fritch Jr.; her sisters, Sarah Dolmayer and Phyllis Shick; and her dog, Buddy.
Beverly met her future husband, John R. (Jack) Doerr, while roller skating at Lernerville Park, where they experienced love at first sight. The two were married for more than 65 years until Jack passed away in 2020. Together, they worked at Moonlight Mushroom Farm in Winfield for many years, and were members of Zion United Methodist Church in Sarver. They were always together and cherished spending time with their family, walking on Rails to Trails with their dog, and sitting on their porch in the summer visiting with friends, family and neighbors.
Beverly enjoyed baking and was known for her delicious homemade pumpkin pie. She also loved painting ceramics, excitedly gifting them to her family at every opportunity. However, Beverly’s greatest loves in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her proud children, Jacqueline (Jim) Leslie, Jonathan (Kathryn) Doerr and Jennifer (Chris) Molly; eight granddaughters, Mindy (Jerome) Wesley, Katrina (Andy) Kost, Jessica (Jason) Long, Marissa (Dave) Ozer, Kelly (Cory) Ballard, Stephanie Leslie, Hanna Doerr and Shannon Doerr; and six great-grandchildren, Anderson, Lydia, Xavier, Cooper, Ava and Garrett.
She also is survived by her sisters-in-law, Linda Zema and Doris Doerr; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Beverly will be remembered fondly as a hard worker and an extremely loyal and loving family member, who doted over every baby she met with a beaming smile on her face. Her loved ones will carry her in their hearts forever.
