Diana “DeeDee” Heider, 56, of Butler, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, surrounded by her children and her family.

She was born in Butler on May 17, 1966, and was the daughter of Brenda (Sheppeck) and the late Albert Heider.

DeeDee attended Butler County Community College, and graduated from Henry Ford Community College, as well as Pittsburgh Technical College.

She was a medical coder at Butler Memorial Hospital, and previously worked as a medical transcriptionist at Butler Medical Associates.

DeeDee was adventurous, courageous and strong-willed. She had a talent for decorating and making things beautiful. She enjoyed the beach, family vacations and organizing holiday activities. She adored Halloween and prided herself on her unique costumes. DeeDee was a music trivia buff and was the music lifeline for her family and friends. She spent her weekends dancing and enjoying life. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her children, Lydia Matteoni and Cameron Matteoni.

She is also survived by her mother, Brenda; her siblings, Carrie (Tom) Catalano, Melinda (Don Henry) Heasley and Feller (Julie) Heider; a niece, Abby Heasley; and three nephews, Ben Heasley, Jack Catalano and Tommy Catalano.

In addition to her family, she leaves behind a strong circle of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Albert.
