Vivian Tatters

Tatters

Vivian (Cunningham) Tatters, 93, of East Brady, died on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Quality Life Services-Sugarcreek.

She was born on Dec. 23, 1929, in Lawrenceville, and was the daughter of the late Francis C. Cunningham and Anne Jamison.

Vivian was a registered nurse, who worked at Chicora Medical Center and then retired from Sunnyview Rest Home.

Vivian was a past deacon and served the Golden Links at Union First Presbyterian Church in Cowansville. She was involved with the American Legion Post 325 auxiliary in Cowansville, where she served as president for several years.

She delivered Meals on Wheels and was an advocate for persons with disabilities. She received the Advocate of the Year Award in 2009.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, blessing her family with homemade gifts and crafts that we will always treasure. She was always surrounded by friends, laughter and good food. In her spare time, she read books — many, many books.

Left behind to forever cherish her memory are her children, Lynne Anne Baer of Franklin, Raymond Roy (Sandy) Tatters of Fletcher, N.C., Joan Lee (Craig) Carver of Tampa, Fla., Mark Edward Tatters of Baxley, Ga., Tia Marie Tatters of Kittanning, and William John Tatters of East Brady; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond R. Tatters; and a brother, Francis Cunningham Jr.
