Frances H. Jocuns, 87, of Gibsonia, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2023.

Born in Lawrenceville on Feb. 2, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Somerfeld Hartung.

She was the beloved wife of the late Harry J. Jocuns; loving mother of Dr. Jennifer Wilson, Jerome (Dina) Jocuns, Jeff (Elaine) Jocuns, Julie Jocuns, Jacob (Shena) Jocuns and Justin (Tiffany) Jocuns; sister of the late Rita (late Jim) Zwilcher, late Maryann (late Nick) Lugin and late Geri Ritchie; and the dear grandmother of Harry, Noah, Samantha, John, Joe, Blake, Josh, Jack and Juliet.

Frances was an original AT&T operator, and over the years had worked for Murphy’s Mart, Ames, A.T. Merhaut, and helped make house calls for a veterinarian service.

She was a longtime and active member of St. Richard Church, worked the voting polls in Richland Township, and most of all, loved being with her family.

JOCUNS — Friends of Frances H. Jocuns, who died Thursday, May 4, 2023, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sts. Martha and Mary Parish, St. Richard Church with interment to follow in Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery.
