Robert Stuart
Robert “Bob” L. Stuart of Indiana, Pa., 88, was called home by his Risen Savior on April 20, 2023, following a brief illness.
Bob was born on Sept. 24, 1934, and grew up in Butler.
He graduated from Butler Senior High School in 1952. He then attended Michigan State Hotel School, Chicago campus. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea.
Following his honorable discharge, he moved back to Chicago, where he started his career in the hotel industry. As a general manager, he managed hotel properties in Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Florida, for over a 32-year span. He then began a second career as a salesman with Guardian Protection. With his infectious personality, Bob was consistently one of the top salespeople in his region.
In his life, he was involved in the Rotary Club, the Kiwanis Club, Red Cross, Cancer Society, Butler Quarterback Club and the Butler Cubs. Bob finally retired at the age of 82.
Bob didn’t know a stranger and constantly strove to make people feel important. He especially loved to make people laugh and share stories about his life experiences, while showing a genuine interest in others’ lives as well.
His loving wife, Dee had been by his side for 43 years; her three children, Cory, Kim and Kelly; and his three children, George (Lori), Jay and Janelle (Trace) from prior marriages; along with seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who were the loves of his life and will miss him greatly.
His surviving sister and her husband, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, and several nieces and nephews will also feel this loss.
STUART — Per his wishes, there will be no public services for Robert “Bob” L. Stuart, who died Thursday, April 20, 2023.
