John M. Murray, 68, of Fenelton, died Sunday, April 9, 2023, in the Chicora Medical Center following a short illness with cancer.

He was born in Pittsburgh, Jan. 12, 1955, the son of the late John Murray and the late Dorothy M. Dougharty Murray.

He attended Karns City High School in the Class of 1972, receiving his GED while serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a steamfitter out of Local Union 449 of Pittsburgh.

He is survived by a sister, Catherine Ann Murray of Fenalton; and brothers, Patrick and Marsha Murray of Vandergrift, Daniel Murray of Durango, Colo., and Martin and Deborah Murray of Fenelton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John and Dorothy Murray, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Elizabeth Murray; and a brother, Timothy Murray.

MURRAY — Memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family for John M. Murray, who died Sunday, April 9, 2023.
