Steighner 70th anniversary
Francis and Joan Steighner of Butler, formerly of Herman, will be celebrating their 70 years of marriage.
Steighner married his high school sweetheart, Joan Hutchison, on April 11, 1953, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
They have four children, Darlene Donoghue of Butler, Sherry (Dave) Ackerlund of Minburn, Iowa, Fran Steighner Jr. of Margate, Fla., and Joy (Brian) Loska of Howard, Ohio.
They have nine grandchildren, two of whom are deceased; three stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
Fran worked at Pullman Standard in Butler until it closed and then retired as a professional painter. Joan retired from Magnetics in East Butler.
They are longtime members of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church of Herman.
