Delores J. Hockenberry, 90, died at her residence on Saturday, April 1, 2023.

She was born in Butler on Jan. 14, 1933, and was the daughter of the late Eugene V. McCandless and Hazel M. Matson McCandless.

She married Robert C. Hockenberry on Oct. 18, 1952, and he died on Jan. 28, 2003.

She is survived by Gloria and Charles Rupert, and Deborah “Dee” Swartzlander; and her grandchildren, Levi Rodgers and Kerra McCloskey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Robert C. Hockenberry, Bruce “Hawk” Hockenberry and Michael L. Hockenberry; and her son-in-law, David Swartzlander.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

HOCKENBERRY — Private burial for Delores J. Hockenberry, who died Saturday, April 1, 2023, was held in Butler County Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road, Butler.
