Donald L. Powell, 84, of Butler died Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Donald was born in Butler on May 31,1938, and was the son of Laurell and Tillie Claypoole Powell.

He had been a superintendent at the Buffalo Golf Course in Sarver. He also was the owner of Powell Construction in Butler and had also worked for J & J Fire Protection in Butler. Donald was a member of Middlesex Presbyterian Church where he had served as an elder. He was a life member of R.M.E.F. and he was an avid hunter and farmer.

Surviving is his wife, Patricia Allison Powell, whom he married Sept.1, 1962; two sons, Wade Powell of Saxonburg and Glen (Diane) Powell of Butler; one sister, Glenna Carson of Georgia; two grandchildren, Tyler Powell and Caitlyn (Adam) Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Richard, Koda and Greyson.

POWELL — There will no public visitation for Donald L. Powell, who died Saturday, March 25, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday from the JAY BRYAN FUNERAL HOME in Prospect with the Rev. Kevin Bowen of the Middlesex Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial will immediately follow in the Butler County Memorial Park & Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Middlesex Presbyterian Church in Butler.
