McKinney

Thomas McKinney, 83, of Mars, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023.

Born July 17, 1939, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Ralph and Margaret (Early) McKinney.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Cora Lee McKinney; sons, Thomas McKinney Jr., Brian McKinney, Daniel McKinney and Douglas McKinney; grandchildren, Shane McKinney, Maura McKinney, Zachery McKinney and Alexander McKinney; great-grandchild, Leah Perez; sister, Joan Soose; and brother, Richard “Dick” McKinney.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Patsy McKinney.

Thomas started at the Allegheny County Airport Authority in runway maintenance. He was then promoted to the maintenance supervisor and then to the deputy director. He retired after 32 years. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and sports with his sons.

MCKINNEY — Family of Thomas McKinney, who died Wednesday, March 29, 2023, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the KING FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park, Pa.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Richard Roman Catholic Church, Gibsonia, Pa.

He will be laid to rest at Crossroads Cemetery.
